Gerry has developed sveral native aps for the iOS and Android platforms. Many of these apps are educational, but there are some for business, event, and entertainment applications as well.
Gerry started his mobile applications development at ECPI University, the university at which he is currently teaching English. Several handset apps were debveloped early on, but he also jumped right into the tablet market one the iPad was released. He has also developed apps for other tablets as well. These include the Galaxy, Kindle Fire, and the Nook. "Tablets offer students an opportuity to take their classes, and in some cases their instructors, with them.
Recently, Gerry has been working on some augmented reality projects using mobile technologies and NFC, near field communication, sensors. "I can't wait for Google Glass to hit. Once we can augment our surrounds in a hands free environment, the potential for a HUD on the world is limitless."
Gerry also runs a mobile app development company, Axe Apps, that has producing apps for nearly three years now.
